Correspondence Reveal the late financier and Steve Bannon Connection

Bannon served as Trump's top strategists before stepping down from the White House in August 2017

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK to deliver a speech at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists slowed down speech don't think I can make the flight we are heading to the airport".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a gulf air departing at 9:50 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an excellent helper".

These exchanges were released on Wednesday alongside over 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the House oversight committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets has been able to confirm his involvement by cross-referencing the dates, occurrences, and locations mentioned.

For instance, Epstein talks about arranging a plane from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the chat, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as the president's closest advisers in the lead-up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his first administration, but resigned from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast earlier this year, he stated: "We're going to release the film, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the recently disclosed materials indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein seemed to arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are quite capable assistant", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you're well looked after."

British Affairs Discussed in Messages

The published communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in that year.

Earlier on the same day his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit thing this day with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the embattled UK prime minister at the time, he added: "They are trying to move on. may soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can uk. Ideal- so others see the commitment of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa may remain in power". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely however the guys here have little courage" and added "Johnson ; Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually removed in 2019 after withstanding two votes of no confidence in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed the BBC: "Nigel Farage has never been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting occurred.

The US House of Representatives will vote next week on whether the Department of Justice should release all its records concerning its probe into Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was renewed this week after the release of over 20,000 pages from his archives.

A portion of those mentioned Trump, who has consistently denied any impropriety. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
