Around 25,000 households in southeastern Queensland found themselves experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms impacted the area, producing wind gusts reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Ice Stones and Broad Damage
Homeowners observed large ice chunks measuring up to 7 centimeters in particular locations. Weather authorities verified that multiple regions across Queensland had been hit with large hailstones.
